The public affairs job includes the gathering, preparing, and disseminating of news and feature materials, to both internal and external audiences, about the Marine Corps' plans, policies, programs, regulations, changes, and operations and exercises.

U.S. Marines
The United States Marine Corp does not need any preliminary introduction. It gives the country an edge over other States through its sheer strength in combating the opponent. USMC is a naval infantry and its adeptness lies in ship fighting and carrying out amphibious assaults. Amphibious assault deals with fighting from sea onto land. The United States Marine Corp is a part of the department of Navy. The Marine Corps are unconventional in their approach and take on the emergency task.

The United States Marine Corp, the smallest branch of U.S. Armed Forces, was created in 1775 and is the forceful infantry branch of the United States Navy. The Marine motto "Semper Fidelis" meaning "always faithful" in Latin is what all Marines strive for. This phrase defines the honesty and dedication of the Marines for their work of protecting the U.S.A. There are 180,000 active duty and 40,000 reserve Marines currently enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. About one-fifth of the Marines are currently working for the Department of Homeland Security to protect the U.S.A. against immoral terrorist. Marines fight both on land and water which makes them an incredible emergency response service for the United States. The Marines are always looking for more strong willed men and women to join their organization who are ready to fight for their country and protect their people.

Appearance is very important in the United States Marine Corp and is the most detailed of the United States Arm Forces. All of the U.S. Marine Corp uniforms must be worn appropriately or penalties will be enforced. Currently in the U.S. Marine Corp there are three different types of uniforms; Dress, Service, and Utility uniforms. The dress uniforms have three categories; Blue Dress, the most common worn during recruiting. The Blue-White Dress, is the dress for the most elite platoon of the Marines and the Evening Dress, is the most formal. Service uniforms are olive green and khaki, worn mostly for business settings. All Utility Uniforms are head to toe camouflage that are worn on duty with the ever possibility of going to combat.

Badges and pins in the United States Marine Corp identify the rank of the officer or soldier. An assortment of badges exists in the U.S. Marine Corp, such as Aviation, General, and Special Badges. There are ten classes of pins that are available for the commissioned officers; which range from Second Lieutenant to General. Four separate classes of General pins are available which are used to identify the rank of the General and their many accomplishments. The pins and badges are to be worn on both collars of the shirt and the chest. The more number of stars the General wears indicates the rank that he/she is. There are also twelve classes of pins that are available for the non-commissioned officers, which range from Private to Sergeant Major of the Marine Corp. Not until given the rank of private first class is a non-commissioned officer given a pin. Pins are also available for Chief Warrant Officers, which range from WO1 to CWO5.

Ever since the United States Marines Corp was created, medals and ribbons have been given to the outstanding individuals of the Marine Corp. Medal of Honor, Marine Corps Expeditionary, and Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal are some examples of medals given to people enlisted in the Marine Corp. The Medal of Honor is the highest honor in all of the United States Armed Forces. To receive such an award, an act of extreme unselfishness and bravery needs to be obtained by a Marine. There was 82 Medals of Honor given out in World War II, 42 in the Korean War, and 57 in the Vietnam War. The medals and ribbons signify admiration, honor, and integrity. Only the best Marines receive such credited rewards. A medal recipient will also receive a ribbon for their exceptional achievement through out their time spent in the Marine Corp.

One major war achievement of the United States Marines is the Battle of Iwo Jima during World War II; when the United States defeated the Empire of Japan. The battle is famous for the six men trying to raise the U.S. Flag on the top of Mount Suribachi, the highest point on the island of Japan. The Japanese suffered a heavy loss of 20,000 troops causing a phenomenal victory for the United States of America.
